</p> <h2><b>PROCESS</b></h2> <p>
The client, CORA, wanted me to create a diagram that tells the story of the company and the various services they provide.
As part of my process, I spoke with the stakeholder, researched their website and publication materials, reviewed the creative brief, and created the initial concept.

Concept idea:
Seeing that the pillars are the services that CORA is offering I depicted everything as being within its own building. The pillars are held up by a strong foundation, the staff and departments. And on top they are held together by the idea of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
For the other 4 elements
Community Engagement, Accountability, Transparency and Trauma-informed, I see those as values CORA represents and holds in high esteem, which is why I depicted them as flags; something you fly and are proud of.
Feedback
After showing the initial diagram to staff at CORA some of the feedback was “…people love the solidity of it, but are getting confused and thinking our image is a court house.”
With that in mind I worked on another concept to represent CORA, its services and values.
Final Concept

Concept idea: CORA’s support team provides the space for growth, which is represented by the pot. This space is where CORA’s services flourish. The can, watering the plant represents the values that help CORA grow.
The final feedback from the client was:
[callout]”Thank you so much for the wonderful work you’ve done on the graphic images for CORA’s strategic action plan! Our staff have really embraced this image and feel like it really represents who we are and what nourishes us and our work. Thank you!”[/callout]
[callout]CORA, is the only agency in San Mateo County solely dedicated to helping those affected by intimate partner abuse. From counseling, to emergency housing, to legal assistance, our services are designed to provide safety, support, and healing.
